GKA specialises in providing business support to social and community enterprises including; strategy development, business planning, asset development (Community Asset Transfers), creativity & innovation, feasibility studies, project evaluation, fundraising and capacity building activities.
About
I set up Gareth Kiddie Associates (GKA) in May 2002 specifically to provide high quality consultancy services that enable social and community enterprises to get going and reach their potential. GKA's motto is 'helping communities to help themselves'. It is an approach that seeks to secure a maximum transfer of expertise and one that aims to build the skills and capacity of social business managers, helping them to deliver successful projects that in turn meet identified social & community needs.
GKA works with a wide range of associates, often acting as the lead consultant of multi-disciplinary teams brought together specifically for the job in hand. Because of this GKA is able to take on a wide portfolio of project work. Over the last 19 years, Gareth has worked with over 300 social businesses, charities, voluntary & community organisations, as well as many of the key public sector bodies within the field.

GKA is based in my home town of Barry. I am a proud 4th generation Barrian (they don't go back much further) and I have been involved in a range of volunteer projects that have contributed in some small way to improving and building pride in my own community.
